To work in the prison system and help to have Hope Show come to the prison is a bit of a contradiction. It is one that I am glad to have become. Seeing the effect that God's spirit had not only on the inmates but also on the staff that attended was something that no simple words can describe. I am thankful that you allowed me to help with this and honored to have met all the people involved in creating a night that I cannot and do not want to forget.

Robyn....came across you page on LinkedIn thru Jenn Ciavarella. I was an associate pastor with Ben Tolly at The Bridge in the early 2000s. You may not remember me but your name jumped out at me and I was curious about Hope Shows.
After leaving The Bridge I went to Kingman AZ where I was the pastor of a Free Methodist church in Kingman and later moved to the Phoenix area.
I'm intrigued by your prison ministry because the daughter of a friend of mine in AZ is in prison. While we stilled lived in AZ I visited her every month and still stay in touch with her. She has another 18 months or so to go.
I don't know what God is doing in my heart about this but I have certainly developed a compassion for her and always knew when I visited her .... this could just as easily be me or someone just like me.
So I hope to follow what you're doing and who knows - maybe there will be some way with writing, or speaking or something that I can do to help you.

I agree! I recently heard of one station doing just that for inmates in their region. I know just enough to be dangerous when it comes to radio operations, but not nearly enough to know how it all works. :-) It would be great if, as access to digital channels increases, prisons are able to gain access to a station such as this that can reach a national prison audience.

Well put, Robyn. My second daughter constantly surrounds herself with music. I am so thankful that she has a much better and larger menu of choices than I did 40 years ago.

Taking the radio in prisons model a small step further. Are you aware of low-power FM station licenses? Most broadcasters hate them. But, think of the opportunities for existing radio networks as a tertiary service to use this technology located around prisons to offer not only music, but discipleship training and even life skills to a captive audience.
